A reflection of Ambiente in Germany

Well, its been and gone... another 3 days at Ambiente
With over 4,300 exhibitors its not just the largest consumer goods trade fair in the world, it also offers a complete spectrum of individuals, decision makers, themes, products and concepts from various different sectors. The trade audience at Ambiente also has a stong international profile. Almost half the visitors to Frankfurt come from outside German - from New Zealand to Canada and from Chile to Russia.
And we were one of just the 132,095 visitors! For us it was one of the most successful visits we've made in 8 years. We didn't get to see as much of the show as we normally do, but met with over 15 existing and potential clients, providing opportunities to discuss current and potential work.





In summary, the stands looked as big and impressive as usual, but scratch the surface and the concern about the economy and the coming twelve months was clear. To me, there appeared to be a lot of bravado, matched only by real worries about what is to come.
No clear trends that I was able to identify, except to say that when it comes to design, budgets are tighter than ever and companies are demanding ever more 'bang for their buck'. All in all a good, positive trip for us and plenty for us to build on in the coming months.
